Description
The YONEX PC Sonicage Clay shoes are engineered for players who demand explosive movement, cushioning, and confidence across the court. Though originally designed for clay courts, their versatile grip and support structure make them a great choice for all surfaces – ideal for players who want reliable traction whether indoors or out.
Performance & Comfort
Built for aggressive movers, the Sonicage features Power Cushion+ technology in the midsole, offering outstanding shock absorption and energy return. This lets you soften your landings and explode into your next step with added power. A low-profile, lightweight design enhances court feel and allows for fast changes in direction.
Durability & Fit
- Supportive upper locks your foot in place for improved stability
- Strategically placed cushioning reduces fatigue and joint strain during long matches
- Rounded heel for smooth transitions and quick directional changes
All-Surface Traction
While optimised for clay with its specific tread pattern, the sole provides reliable grip and control on all court types. Whether you’re playing on hard courts, artificial grass, or indoors, these shoes deliver dependable performance.
Perfect for tournament-level players and competitive club players alike, the YONEX PC Sonicage Clay gives you the comfort, speed, and control to stay sharp from the first serve to match point.
Geoff Woodcock –
This is easily one of the best-looking shoes we’ve had in the shop — sleek design and great colours. Although it’s labelled as a ‘clay’ shoe, it’s actually got Yonex’s all-court sole, which can be a bit confusing at first. It performs really well across all surfaces.
Fit-wise, like most Yonex shoes, it can come up a little snug — I usually recommend going up half a size, and that’s worked well for customers. It’s the same proven model as previous Sonicage versions, so it’s reliable and comfortable, with excellent cushioning and court feel.
If you’re after a responsive, light shoe that still offers good support, this is a solid choice — and it doesn’t hurt that it looks fantastic too.
